Bodie is a mining town that sprang up during the California Gold Rush in 1849. Once the most of the gold was mined, the population of Bodie shrank until the town was completely abandoned. Bodie became a Ghost Town.

This is the collection Railroad Maps from 1828-1900 at the Library of Congress. These maps can be enlarged to full screen and then zoomed in on for a more detailed view.
